I didn't hear much about the whole thing. But it seems that they did it because the world didn't care about what they wanted so they didn't care about what the world wanted. All over europe and america bombings always occur to gain attention. And that cost a lot of people's lives and that it worse!!! But statues should still not have been destroyed. It's history.
