Question

Hello guys! I'm not sure whether you can actually help me or not, but i'll just ask you a question.
Right now I'm finishing an international school and in a few months i'm sure to get an International Baccalaureat (IB) Diploma.
Recently i have been offered an admission in Trent University (Ontario, Canada).
Unfortunately, both of my parents are school teachrs in Ukraine and they can not finance my education... not at all.
Right now i'm looking for any kind of Can-Ukr organizations or funds that could possibly help me pay for my future education.
So, this is my question- whom should contact (if you know) or how can i possibly get a scholarship? Are there any chances with a Diaspora?
I'm very keen to continue my education in Canada! So please, if you know something of this kind, tell me, i would be very grateful.
Thanks in advance,
Ania

I hear from all sides "help me" but I'm hard of hearing "I want to help".

Red face

it is somehow difficult to say 'i want to help' when your parents are earning 50 $ per month, and sometimes don't even get that miserable amount of money. I just have a feeling that all those who haven't been in Ukraine for a long time are losing a sence of intouch with Ukarainian realities, of course it's difficult to imagine life there, but it's even more difficult to experience it every day. I hope you understand what i mean, if you don't- you are more than welcome to come to Ukraine!
you know, it's not that easy to ask for help, but if you don't have money- you don't have much choice...
regards,
ania
p.s. it will take time- but once i 'stand up on my legs'- i promise, i'll say 'i want to help' to someone who needs it.

Ania, please have patience..
I'm trying to help you at this moment, but I need time, ok?
I live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada...very close to your future (?) university, please give me some time to research and I'll send you all the info as soon as I possibly can, ok?
Today I'll give your letter to a Ukrainian Orthodox priest in our church, he's been known for helping out whoever asks for help, and also the Ukrainian community in Toronto is beyond large, someone will always help.
Please e-mail me at Irinka25@about.com and we'll talk.
Please have hope, I'll do what I can

P.S. Please tell me which city in Ukraine do you live in?

Irinka

Irinka, that is great that you want to help.
I also won't mind helping
but for now, just do a lot of research a lot of asking. Do you live in Ukraine at the moment? If so, you probably will need someone who will pay for the trip, for everything. that would cost a lot of money. IF canada won't work out for you. Try USA colleges, and you'll have a good chance of finding someone to help you out. Don't give up.
