I don't know if you'll come back again ?? If you do; I'd like to apologise for the hostility and abuse you've found yourself on the receiving end of. Steve V was right in the sense that he, LippyChick and myself all "know" each other (virtually ) and delight in being controversial and disagreeing with absolutely everything each other says - and anyone else.As for Nonson. he has the right to post his messages - and I exercise the right to whizz past them, un-read. Whenever you see the word "NONSON" just tab down to the next 'posting'. Steve v In the words of Alexei Sayle : "And now the adverts. I'd like to ask you, is swearing a problem? For example you're introduced to The Queen and she says - Oh Hello mr Thompson and how long have YOU been a town planner? and you say: **** OFF YOU NOSEY BASTARD !!! or you're invited to meet Jean Paul Sartre and say, WHO GIVES A **** WHAT YOU THINK ?? Well now, say goodbye to swearing misery with the new Ronco Self-censoring device. Now you can say all kinds of nasty words, like F*** or C*** or MRS MARGARET TH******. It's absolutely ****ing amazing !! " That's thebest way to deal with people like mr Nonson; SELF censorship. Regards. S.B. |

Well.... I'd like to welcome you here, - "Welcome'.
However, I don't quite as some other members of this forum, understand your intention in moderating something you don't know? If that's what you do ... as a person ... then it would be perfectly fine if you're willing to moderate these boards in appropriate way. But as we do not know you, we don't know what you are going to do, and I'm almost sure that no-one is going to go to your forums and ask them how did you moderate them. How about you stay here, communicate with us and discuss something ... so we can get to know better? Good luck to all, Stas

Pierogies_4_Life,
Let me apologise, if I gave you the wrong impression, welcome to the fray. However, you have to understand me concern at your intention in coming to this board and without getting to know us wishing to censor the posts. Welcome anyway. Stevie baby, Nope I wouldn’t tell the Queen to do one, I would have told Sartre to get his Chairman Moe kissing face out of my sight before I existentially stamped his face in to the pavement in the same fashion the good ol' Chairman had done to the Chinese Intelligencia . Do I have a problem with swearing? Where are you leading me with this one? Not particularly I try not to use it myself to often, other than when I’ve had a drink, then I tend to use Fing instead of very ![]() Take care, Vlas. |

Aah, Steve. A fellow 'fan' of mr Sartre. I'm impressed.
Well, I don't know if you can speak (any) French, but I've always found it significant that Sartre's favourite phrase was: " Je Ponce". ( No less than the truth )S.B. |

ABRACADABRA.
By Abracadabra we signify An infinite number of things. 'Tis the answer to What? and How? and Why? And Whence? and Whither? -- a word whereby The Truth (with the comfort it brings) Is open to all who grope in night, Crying for Wisdom's holy light. Whether the word is a verb or a noun Is knowledge beyond my reach. I only know that 'tis handed down. From sage to sage, From age to age -- An immortal part of speech! Of an ancient man the tale is told That he lived to be ten centuries old, In a cave on a mountain side. (True, he finally died.) The fame of his wisdom filled the land, For his head was bald, and you'll understand His beard was long and white And his eyes uncommonly bright. Philosophers gathered from far and near To sit at his feat and hear and hear, Though he never was heard To utter a word But "Abracadabra, abracadab, Abracada, abracad, Abraca, abrac, abra, ab!" 'Twas all he had, 'Twas all they wanted to hear, and each Made copious notes of the mystical speech, Which they published next -- A trickle of text In the meadow of commentary. Mighty big books were these, In a number, as leaves of trees; In learning, remarkably -- very! He's dead, As I said, And the books of the sages have perished, But his wisdom is sacredly cherished. In Abracadabra it solemnly rings, Like an ancient bell that forever swings. O, I love to hear That word make clear Humanity's General Sense of Things. Jamrach Holobom Nonson ![]() 3.01.01 |
