Researching my great-grandmother Jerzyna (ERYNA) Pastuszka Mochnacz from Bilyj Potik village, Czortkow district Chomiakowka RC parish. Joannis Mochnacz (Eryna’s husband my great-grandfather and son Gabriel Stanislaw Mochnacz (my grandfather)
Eryna DOB: 1859 Tombstone inscription lived 53 years and died May 10 1912, Krakow AB.
Gabriel Mochnacz married Teckla Bojko (daughter of Theodore and Josefa Bojko) February 7, 1903. Settled in the Krakow area in April 1904. (Alberta)
Trying to establish the year and ship Eryna was on when she came to Canada. 1911 Alberta census says 1904 (hard to read). Impossible as she is not on the 1906 census, June 24, 1906
Gabriel Mochnacz served in the Austrian Army 1895 to 1898. Left Bremerhaven Germany May 21, 1989 via H.F.Glade arrived October 6, 1898 at Honolulu. Assigned to Haiku Sugar Plantations Maui. Gabriel Mochnacz page 101 of Hawaiian ordeal: Ukrainian contract Workers, 1897 – 1910
