Satellitedirect TV?
Has anyone tried this web based TV provider yet? They are advertizing 71 channels from Ukraine, 179 from Russia and even 74 from Muldova as well as many from around the world.
They also have over 700 from the USA that might be able to be seen from the FSU IF my guesses about the service is correct. This would be great for at home and traveling! They claim a one time payment of under $100 USD for the service. Watch online TV on Your PC with SatelliteDirect - Over 3,500 HD Channels Available 24/7 If this is any good and available from anywhere with web acess then it'd be interesting! But my spam filter caught it so I'm leary of it. |

I've done more web searches on this topic since I posted this and found that there is a good possibility that this is an inferior product.
I'm going to keep searching for "The" answer but til then, Let the buyer beware! I'm holding off for now. |

I saw something similar to this a while ago. It might be true, but I didn't go through with you because I figured it would not last long. My guess is, they specialize in sales and not in service, so pay the money and if anything doesn't work, too bad. The other thing I was worried about was them just showing me channels that I can view for free online anyway.
We did however subscribe to another service which charged like $10 per month for a few Ukrainian TV channels. It was short lived because our bandwidth was too low and we didn't feel like upgrading at the time, but at least I can vouch for that one. http://worldstreamtv.com/ It seems to have changed since then though because I see no Ukrainian channels on there. |

We did find a very good web based option for movies ecet in Russian that actually works very well. $18 per month gets about 100 channels with many of them just what she's looking for!
If you can manage to hook a `puter to the TV you'll be set! bestrussiantv.com Now if we can manage to find the same thing for US TV when we move to Ukraine I'll be a happy camper too. |

You guys planning a permanent move?
I find this website very helpful. Its free, so its content is representative of that, but it has whatever channels are available for free. It has a few Ukrainian ones, but only one thats truly worth watching. But it could help you out on the US side. Watch live online TV channels broadcasting on the Internet. |
