Shipping books

I am few weeks away from finishing college in US and need to ship about 100 books to Ukraine where I am returning. Have any of you done it? Could anyone recommend reasonably priced shipping company? Thanks.

Postal is usually the cheapest rate for within the US. Check and see if they also have an international 'printed media' rate.

100# is going to be very expensive. Possibly pay the extra baggage charges at the airline for extra bags and take them with you..

Try the calculator on this page. Meest.us
Max weight they accept is 66lbs per shipment, I think. But it will give you a good estimate.

For what it's worth, I'm paying an extra $75 for an extra 50# bag to go over to Kyiv. ( 50 Euro's and 23 Kilo's)

It sucks since they cut back on the baggage we can bring.

I sent a small gift consisting of 9 pair of Olympic mitts, two baseball caps, a little bottle of maple syrup and the cost was $50.00

I would recomment to suggest traditional post service. It will take about two month , but is very cheap. Never estimate $ 200 and everything will be all right. I received many parcels from America this way.
