Sgt. Robin Snider, Daphne Police Department, selected for visit to Ukraine

DAPHNE, Ala. - - The Alabama Center for Law and Civic Education has selected Sgt. Robin Snider with the Daphne Police Department to attend a 7 day professional development visit to [] Ukraine.

Sgt. Snider, while in [] Ukraine, will learn first-hand the culture of Ukraine, the operation of Ukranian schools, the workings of the Ukrainian Judicial Systems, the procedures of their government, and how civic education of taught in Ukraine.

The focus on the trip is to train Ukranian Police Officers how to teach law-related education to students in their schools. It is the vision of the seminar in which Sgt. Snider will be presenting to involve law enforcement with youth in a positive manner. During this training he will be training police officers how to implement Ukraine’s law course, Live by the Rules (based on Alabama’s Play by the Rules program) into the classroom. His experience as a Play by the Rules trainer will be invaluable to the participants.
