The internet is very useful and entertaining, but it most often according to what I have seen and heard is not to great a place to find a sincere girlfriend or long term relationship/marriage. I would recomend a more civilized way of meeting a sincere woman. First try meeting someone around where you live, then, if there's no success in that, try other churches than your own, where you might find a deasant wife! Then as a last resort, use the internet, find penpals, and lastly an agency(with people of like religion, etc.). Thanks for your time, I just thought that with all the people on this boards looking for a women, I wanted to give my advice, thankyou. Sincerely, PaulL |

I think, PaulLL, that your sincere warning won't help people who wants to find a friend of life. It's just the same as to shout over the world: "Don't wage war!".
A person is made so that he (she) must make mistakes himself (herself). My friend conducted ebullience affaires trying to find a husband throught Internet in order to leave Ukraine (she has 2 small children!). A long time I couldn't persuade her of mistakeness of her actions. But now she became tired (after 8 months useless attempts!) Resume: she "killed" 8 months to understand the fact that I told right from the start. Besides, they want to find a spouse of another nationality (read: another cast of mind, mode of life etc). Is it real to create a union of long duration? I think no, no and once again no. |

I disagree with you PaulLL. Some of my dearest and best friends I have found on the net, especially on this discussion board. Closer than relatives "even", as SnagglePuss would say.... Actually I have found the love of my life here, so don't spout off about what you don't know.
True, there are bad relationships, but for the most part, if you are intelligent enough you can field out the fakes. LillyNomad |

Hi PaulLL,
I don't know what you have seen or heard, but any advice from someone who haven't tried it, is nothing but prejudice. There are many ways to meet people, and I know at least three happy couples who met on the internet. I'm sure it will be more and more common. |

THANKS, ALL YOU ALL FOR COMMENTS, ETC. I think your right, Kazonova, we gotta let others see for themselves, try for themselves, and see how things work out. One definietly can make good friends through the internet, I guess I was somewhat proved wrong, although personally I would still prefer meeting people in a more old fashion way, I don't trust the internet too well. Becuase, when one meets someone on the internet, one can't even see the other, and does'nt even know if the one he/she is communicating with is a holks of some sort. There are many "predators" on the internet, so one ought not to trust the internet TOO much. -PaulL- |

Irena, can I ask you why "esides, they want to find a spouse of another nationality (read: another cast of mind, mode of life etc). Is it real to create a union of long duration? I think no, no and once again no." I know a lot of families where people are from different cultures. And they live years without problems. Perhaps the friendship only is another thing?
