When we were there last winter we took them on their first trip out of the country, to Egypt. We got to see all the antiquities and the major sights. Then we stayed for 5 days in Hurgadah on the Red Sea and relaxed. Some where, some how she became a bit on the preganat side. My step son was joking and said that it was our fault! If we wouldn't have taken them on the trip she wouldn't have gotten preganant. (Huh?) So I said that if we were getting the blame then he's going to have to name the baby after his mother or myself.. ( Hey,,, fair is fair!) So there's going to be a little 'Misha' crawling around Kyiv next fall.

Tree of Fertility gift for Mother in Law
Hi, I'm really enjoying this forum.
I'm Picking up some insite into a few traditions and issues that might get overlooked....that is UNTIL they are stepped on ;-( My fiance is Ukranian, and so is her mom. I rarely get to talk with her. I'm looking to either make or buy a gift for mama, that she will appreciate. I'm thinking of a pillow with the Fertility Tree on it. Or a necklace with the fertility tree. Would these in any way, be offensive to the mother of my fiance? (all I'm looking for is any hint that I might be insulting her. If so, then I can think of something else. spacibo bolshoe |
