Could someone please help with a translation?

Hello! I am a newbie here, I was hoping somebody could please help me with a very short translation from English to Ukrainian.

I would like to know what the Ukrainian (in cyrillic) is for...

"To impress myself"

Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome to the board, Brodie. Can you please use the context you want in a sentence?

Thanks for your speedy reply Kathy.

It's actually more like a quote/statement on its own. Not really used in a sentence.

Does this make sense?

Sorry, no.

Ukrainian, in a lot of ways, is more precise than English, so the context in which you are using wording is very important.

Hmm, ok I understand what you mean. I am trying to think of a simple way to explain it...

Think of it like a resolution! eg. To quit smoking, to exercise more...etc *laughs*

To impress myself...

Does that make sense?

Я порад╕в сам за себе
This means I enjoyed myself for having achieved smth - and as for me is the nearest translation for 'I impressed myself'

Thanks so much for you help Irene.

Can you think of anything for the exact phrase "To impress myself"? The past tense isn't really what I'm looking for.

The reason I am being so fussy is that the exact phrase has a lot of meaning to me and I am wanting to get this as a tattoo (my family has Ukrainian heritage).

Thank you very, very much for your help!
