Kathy, do you seriously think social group "Ukrainian politicians" solely rose up the prices for real estate in Kyiv?

They are wealthy people but they are nothing in comparison with businesspeople who sponsor them. I would say the price for realty were inflated by numerous speculants since the realty speculations give massive revenues. However, my experience says market never puts prices people can't handle. It can set the maximum prices but never excessive because "buyer's disability" will shift them down.

Terms "trafficked" and "smuggled" suppose women were bought as living good, traded, this means somebody pays the hunters for every "item" and uses it or sells further.

In 99% of cases of trafficking disclosed on Ukraine women were told they go for civilized work and then they were turend to slaves without names and documents. Pimps as usually hold their documents and intimidate victims police will give short shrift to illegal workers.

No, but they are primarily responsible. You can believe it is all speculation, but that is just not the case.

I think what Michael is saying is that many women go into this line of work willingly. They may have pimps or work in brothels for safety, but it is their choice. You seem to reject this.

So, let me ask you this. Is it any more moral to dump your kids and go work abroad for years at a time?

Kathy, of course, Polish women do everything willingly, with passion, with pride for Motherland and common approval, for 40$ per hour and mostly with German tourists. They make the 70% of prostitutes on Poland and rest is for Bulgarian minorities as I see from statistics.

The disclosed cases of "sex slave hunt" open victims in Ukraine never were informed about real character of their works... so "willingly" is not very suitable. In this case trafficked means "transited fraudulently". This is what I say.

Ok, I can concede that, as most are put under the control of pimps. I don't know if that's the case in Poland, but it is in many other countries.

I don't know about the rest of Poland, but in Warsaw, Ukrainian prostitutes seem to be a sizeable part.

BTW:

Every Fifth Ukrainian Girl √ Prostitute?

Every Fifth Ukrainian Girl – Prostitute?
MIGnews.com.ua

Two millions of Ukrainian girls departed from Ukraine to work as prostitutes voluntarily.

Ukrainian officials who struggle against human traffic discovered six groups of souteneurs and recruiters during the first month of this year. Chief at the Department on struggle against crimes concerned with human traffic Mikhail Andrienko informed about it at a briefing. Militia is to clear up how many girls had been crimped and sold abroad by souteneurs.

It is known that four millions of Ukrainians work now in several countries abroad. Half of them depart from Ukraine of their own free will in order to sell their bodies.

Most often natives of Kharkov, Donetsk, Dnepropetrovsk and Volyn oblasts are among these girls. Besides, it has become known that last year 52 teenagers had been exported for sale abroad.

- Obviously some of these Ukrainian prostitutes found their way to Warsaw.

“Women and girls were trafficked to and through Poland from countries such as Ukraine, Bulgaria, Romania, Belarus, and Russia. Ukraine was the largest single source of foreign women trafficked in Poland. Women from Bulgaria tended to be from the Turkish and Romani minorities. Of the estimated 7,000 prostitutes in the country, 2,100 (30 percent) were estimated to be of foreign origin.” (The GULLY report, 2004)

Poland is a destination country for trafficking in Bulgarian women it is a transit country for women from Ukraine, Lithuania and Belarus. At least 3,500 Bulgarian prostituted women are in Poland and more than 1,000 from Ukraine and Belarus (source: Polish Deputy Interior Minister). In 1997, police registered 200 cases of attempted smuggling of women to Western brothels.” (Piotr Bazylko, "Poland, Ukraine to fight sex slave industry," Reuters, 16 July 1998)

The number of of foreign prostitutes in Poland is only 2,100. And Bulgarian make majority among those 2,100 foreign prostitutes.

The 2 millions is unrealistic number. Again, hunters do not tell them about real character of the job.

Poland is not only destination of course. But its moral spirits regarding sex slave trade are same as in Turkey and Arabic countries.
