Also, though i should mention. It makes sence why he would just take the money and not deliver the product. Since Ukraine does not really track pakaging, very little can be done when an item is lost.
The company was an old, established company, there since the 1950's. Unfortunately, it had been purchased recently by someone new.

I don't think stealing ever makes sense. And to steal from an orphanage is really low.

adrew,

How true it is about the power. In my stay in Ukraine I experience this twice last summer. First time we were able to just call and they turned it back on. Maybe they just flipped the switch for fun.

But the second time was problems. Just a day before we bought a brand new fridge with warantee. The power was off for a really long time. When you called the local energy office, nobody picked up (and they have 3 numbers) and the main office cannot do anything from their location. It ended up that the power flipped on and off a few times and our new fridge died. Hooray!

~~~
Kathy,
She should report it to Better Business Buroe and to a local news station.
You must be sure to bring a load of adapters with you
Such are reading 'THE CONTINENTAL' 'DO NOT USE IN UK"
( 3poles/2 poles)
Otherwise it would be a problem to fit a 3-pole plug into Ukrainian socket!
