Ukrainian gypsy and folk music

Hi,

I'm in preparation of a documentary in which Ukrainian countryside, villages and small towns shall figure together with Gypsy, kletzmer and folk music. I need as much info as possible as to what I can find in Ukraine.....I'm at the beg. of my research and any suggestions would be much appreciated....

Hi,I love that music ! Are u familiar with Hutsul music.They use the tsimbali[csimbalom/dulcimer].sopilka[wood flute]etc. The important dance[tanetz] is of course the "kolomeyka" ,like the "kolomeike" in Klezmer music.Please let me know how you are progressing,sounds interesting!
