Hi there,

It's very hard to tell what band is playing it, because it's a traditional 'polka'. Such things are played in numbers at most wedding parties in Ukraine and there are simply lots of bands that play them. Some of these bands record their music on tapes or CDs, and I have the whole CD of such music in mp3. But I am afraid, I have not heard exactly THIS song in my collection.

BTW, I am collecting good Ukrainian music in all possible styles and I would be glad to share/exchange mp3's, if there's some good way to do it over the net.

thanks. it actually is a cover band that played it at a wedding - but i am interested to find out what the name of that specific song is, and where i could get a copy of that specific song (played by any band...). i would also be interested to hear what you have on your cd - unfortunatelly, i do not have any ukranian music to exchange - maybe something else?

Actually, such songs rarely have a Name - they are mostly identified by the first line or a 'key word'.

This song begins with "Teche voda kalamutna", but the variant I have found is slightly different from the one you quote.
The one I have is recorded by 'Trubka' band and is 3,329K large.

Any suggestions on the transfer method are welcome.

And please, do not worry about the 'exchange' thing - I wrote SHARE [_or_] exchange. I can offer you more Ukr. music, but how do we transmit it?
