What influence does American music make?

I was wondering what influence American music has on the Ukrainian listener?, or the world. Is it a good thing that music can be so influential to our younger generations? I know that here in America, some of the crimes that are done by children, the music they listen to has been a major factor in their behavior.
I was just wondering if anyone else thought of this.

i live in the usa and i think that a parent should better supervise their childrens music choices and if they have a problem then dont buy the music for the kid if the cd has a parental warning on it then i think that is pretty much a hint that children shouldnt be listening to it. I listen to a lot of rap and m&m but i would never kill anyone i am an a+ student and I do sports so i dont think music has anything to do with it I think you controll your own actions

I think what you listen to can and does effect some people's actions and behaviors! I have just recently watched a movie in economics class about how American corporations have taken advantage of the youth in America today by trying to figure out what is cool and then marketing it to teens. But the paradox in that is that apparently once they find what is cool, it is no longer cool anymore, according to teens nowadays. These corproations such as Sprite, Nike, and WWF sometimes influence teenagers to be violent and sexually unscrupulous! I myself am a teenager, but I do not fall into such categories. I have had the privelage of being raised in a Christian family and am a Christian myself. I am listen to inspiring, uplifting, and beautiful calssical music instead of demorilizing and base-head music such as rap and hip hop.

I do listen to rap and hip hop sometimes. Geez, I guess I'm demorilized

BTW, American music helps me to learn English
AND not only BAD words that are "frequently met" in rap and hip hop
