In Ivano-Frankivsk Universal Scientific Library a book memories exhibition "Dialogue Between Heaven And Earth" is organized, dedicated to 85-th birthday of Opanas Zalyvakha, the famous Ukrainian artist, public activist, laureate of the National Taras Shevchenko Prize and Prize of Vasyl Stus.

The exhibition provided literature about the life and arts of Opanas Zalyvakha, albums of his works, books that he had illustrated, autobiographical publications by various authors, journal articles about the talented artist.

Opanas Zalyvakha was born in Kharkiv area, Ukraine. Childhood and student years he spent in the Soviet Union's Far East. Later his way took him to Ukraine. Here prosecution awaited Opanas Zalyvakha. In 1965 he was arrested and sentenced to five years of strict regime labor camp. After prison he came to Ivano-Frankivsk.

And throughout his life the artist carried his dissident's cross with peace, without despair, he carried, and didn't rush about with it. He was a great creator in the field of painting, book design, easel and monumental sculpture, design projects of interior design. His famous works: "Self Portrait", "Red Cranberry", "Ringer", "Famine", "Portrait of Vasyl Stus", "Portrait of Shevchenko," Year Thirty-Three"and many others. Unique ceramic panels by Opanas Zalyvakha decorated cafes of Ivano-Frankivsk city, Ukraine. Opanas Zalyvakha was a creative personality, which shone and was lighting up all around. On November 26, Ukraine and Precarpathians honor the memory of this great Ukrainian national artist.
