![]() Carpathian Summer Celebration in Kalynovets wood, Vyshkiv, Ivano-Frankivsk region (Dolyna area) 01 August 2010 Boiko people, locals of this part of Ukrainian Carpathians, like Hutsul in Yaremche, Vorokhta and Verkhovyna, live here in Dolyna area. 11.00 — Beginning of celebration in Vyshkiv mountain pass. 12.00 — Meeting guest in Kalynovets wood. 12.15 — Chapel's opening and blessing. 12.40 — Official opening of festivities, greetings. 13.00 — Greeting and honouring of shepherds. 13.30 — Seting up of Polonyna fire (Vatra). 12.00—18.00 — Competition between areas, village communities, Boiko culture, masters and craftsmen. 13.00—19.00 — Concert. 14.00—15.00 — Boiko games. 15.00—16.00 — Boiko cuisine presentation. 16.00—17.00 — Lottery. 19.00—21.00 — Folk dances and music. 21.00 — Fireworks. You can get to Vyshkiv from Lviv, Stryi, Mizhgirya or Ivano-Frankivsk and Dolyna by bus or taxi. To Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv you can go by train or plane. Location on Google Maps vyshkiv - Êàðòè Google Vyshkiv village is located high up in Carpathian mountains in Vyshkiv pass between Precarpathians (Ivano-Frankivsk region) and Transcarpathians (Zakarpattya region) This is a very beautiful part of Carpatian mountains, completely off the beaten track.
