You're very sweet, Stepan. How polite not to say anything. It is refreshing!

Dressing is a woman is his "schtick".

If you wish to see Andrij, he dances a tango with Verka in this video -

YouTube - Tango-Danilko-Serdyuchka

He also is a composer. This is also a very good video of one of his compositions, which is reminiscent of Michel Legrand, Eric Satie, or Andre Gagnon -

YouTube - Andrey Danilko After You...

Is this the other song you were thinking of? -

Well, the first link is russian, and you know i don't like that.
It kinda shows how fake he/she by singing Ukrainian just to win the competition

The second link is okay, but i usually like things with works

No, the link you provided is not the song i was talking about, but you encouraged be to find it (thanks)

"Наша Укра╖на" - Росава

For what it is worth.

I downloaded CinemaForge from: CinemaForge - Free Software Downloads and Software Reviews - Download.com
For Free. Then installed it.

Next I went to: KeepVid: Download videos from Google, Youtube, iFilm, Putfile, Metacafe, DailyMotion!
and pasted the link: YouTube - Tango-Danilko-Serdyuchka
and downloaded it to my desktop.

Finally I converted ( using CinemaForge ) the downloaded file into a windows media audio/video file.

Now I can watch Andrey Danilko on my notebook ... he's a funny guy!
I haven't played with the quality settings yet. And I am thinking of making a CD OR DVD so we can watch on the TV.

Have fun

The news here says that the entry has proved controversial in Ukraine, and is unpopular, is this true?

I think it's a fun entry, but not a Eurovision winner.

I'm curious - in the UK, most Eurovision fans seem to be gay. Is this different in Ukraine?

Don't know if its popular. I most don't like it because it just gets worse every Year.

I like the Eurovision just because its a chase to show off Ukraine and since we did win with Ruslana

This year will be a discrase, but i still support it.

Kyiv To Take Serdiuchka’s Song For Its Anthem If She Wins Eurovision 2007

Quote:
Kyiv City Administration is going to make the Kyiv anthem out of a song of Ukrainian singer Andrii Danylko, who is playing a comical character Verka Serdiuchka, if Danylko wins Eurovision song contest this year.

A source in the city administration disclosed this to Ukrainian News.

«Odesa is considered the merriest city in Ukraine. This is a stereotype. It is not as merry as people think. There is more fun in Kyiv. Take local authorities, for example. And the lively anthem will prove this once again,» the source reported.

A competition was announced for the best music and lyrics for the Kyiv anthem, but the proposals that have been received so far are not good.

«We would like something a bit funnier, more adequate. Let’s wait for the results of Eurovision,» the source said.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Verka Serdiuchka will represent Ukraine at Eurovision 2007 song contest in Helsinki, Finland.

Ruslana won Eurovision 2004 in Turkey.

In September 2006, the Kyiv city council decided to hold a tender for Kyiv anthem.

A total of 77 persons submitted 48 offers, but none was shortlisted.

Dear subscribers, all information in this news article is a fiction. Ukrainian News agency congratulates you on the Fool’s Day of April 1 .
Ohh how i wish i could make a topic of this, but i can't because the forum is skrewed up.
Anger, rage.
But this article really did get me mad, until the last line that is.
