I wonder how much land costs in western ukraine, per acre usually. just some undevloped woods or something.
And also how much for a cheap small house or something. are their strict laws on what you can do on your land?(for instance if you can build your own structures).

It depends on where you want to be in western Ukraine.You could easily purchase an old house on 1 acre for $5000 if it wasnt to close to a city.If the house is on land zoned residential you can purchase it no problem but if the land is zoned agricultural you would have to form a ukranian company to purchase it as foreigners can not own agricultural land as yet. Renovations are no problem especialy if you are on one acre and dont block the neighbors view!!I recently bought a house in Kiev so i learnt a lot the process.
