Question

Hello everyone!
I'm thinking of buying a house in the Ukraine.
So does a man, Ukrainian citizen or not, have property rights in the Ukraine?
If so what are the particulars?
Thanks.

nobody has any rights in ukraine....think better before moving !first it depends from which country you wanna move...our people accept not much,then..everybody will try to take as much as it will be possible, cause you have no idea about rules..they will tell you stories..& you will have just to pay for each!..ukraine is beautiful country...but we miss something that makes our life so poor!better be a visitor...may be in future everything will change...then it's a chance for everybody from us who moved from there to think about coming back!
good luck!

if you wanna visit ukraine...

i am ukrainian, but i moved to holland little less then a year ago!...to be a visitor in ukraine, it's what i always advice to people here & to any of my friends from abroad, Ukraine is very beautiful country to take a visit to!but you have to be informed about some rules,as soon as you arrive to ukraine, you have to register in police, ask more from embassy ,but if you will not, on the way back you probably will have to pay some money for not being registered! be careful that in a place where you stay, you are not influence by some people who earn their money by cheating on foriners!always say that you have no problems & that you don't need any help!if you coming from europe or states, then you might get no problems, but if from any islamic country,be sure that your passport always with you & you have a hotel registration with you, cause you might be stopped by each policemen, you will need to show those documents!
otherwise, you will have fun, people very freindly,& will want to show you our traditions, don't drink too much cause we say "if you don't drink , you don't respect us"be sure that people with whom you hanging out are trustful!Kiev is very huge, is better if you find somebody who can help you to introduce it & show you around, or you can easily get lost!...& from foriners everywhere we trying to get more money, so always be sure that you start fighting about less price
but it just sounds so scary, you will love ukraine, all my friends who made a visit wanna come back!it's huge & beautiful country, with lots of wonderful places to visit & see!
just be sure you following rules i gave you before & you won't have any problems
hope you will enjoy your stay there ! if you have any specific questions you can ask me,cause i had lots of friends from different countries coming for a visit, & i know a lot about how it works
have fun!
Alina

Hello!

Ukraine is really beautiful! Go there and enjoy! Don't be afraid of something strange and dengerous! Alina's just gave you the general info (be careful at the beginning following the advice). When you find a friend there, you'll have no problems at all!!! Try to trust people there (but don't believe those, who demand money for their help!)...

You may have some problems in communicating (if you dunno Ukrainian), but there are many people who know English...

I'm from US but i know Ukraine very well! Go there and, as Alina said, e n j o y!

By the way, i'll be in Ukraine/Kyiv in the end of August! Help is not a problem for me.

Regards!

you know as people like to say" You live, you learn" that's true! everytime somebody was coming for a visit, we were faced with another & another problem! so now..if you follow all what i wrote, nothing at ALL can happen to you in ukraine !use icq to search for people who will be willing to show you around,i made LOT's of friends like that & we had great time !
can i ask you something?those who are originaly not from ukraine, what attracts you to our country the most? just curiosity ,or some specific things ?!
anyway, i am glad that people start visiting us, we are nice country....go ahead people

Question

I am thinking about selling my flat in England and buying one in Odessa. I would then be able to work like a dog part of the year in England and spend the rest of the time in Ukraine. I am OK at Russian, I've had the attempted robberies, & run-ins with the dodgy Police, and I love the place and want to move there.
Does anyone out there know if it is illegal for a foreigner to do this? As this would involve bringing money into Ukraine instead of exploiting her I cannot think of any political reasons, but I am not sure if there are bureaucratic obstacles regards visas, property laws, etc. Can anyone help?
Regards to all.
