I will be waiting to hear replys to this one. I have never been to the Ukraine so I am just guessing, but I doubt that you can by a new Ford or Chevy pickup in the Ukraine. If you can it probably will cost a fortune because so few people could aford one that to me it would be to costly to import.

thank you for the info...i need to double check on a couple things:
where you mentioned the price for the Mondeo 1.8 Trend 4-door... 19,759.20 ...now, is that in grivnas or US$? you say a flat+expenses = $500-600, and i understand that to be in US$? i heard the average annual ukrainian salary is 533 grivnas, is that right? |

Your not a Ukrainian..you get the times ten factor placed on you..SVITLANA... Is this not so.. I was told you can rent a nice flat for 40 or 50 bucks.. So what's the story.. is the times ten factor true.. I also heard you can get around it by getting a ukrainian buddy to do the dealing for you... speak to me..And what is a Mondeo.. can you get something like a n american small pickup.

ok, I'm not Ukrainian for residence purposes, maybe that explains it. If the average monthly income for a UKR resident is 100 $US, how do they cover the rent? And like midwaydave said, could I hire a UKR agent to rent the apartment for me?
=) Svitlana, thanks, the Mondeo looks fine, it'll work. I would like to know if the 20,000 is in US$ or grivnas, can you check on that for me? Now if I could just get my hands on one of those trick little military trucks. They're totally kick arse. Red ![]() |

I see I made an error, as far as I know, the monthly income is 100 USD (533 grivnas). So I was interested in knowing how rent of 500-600 USD is paid on that income. I've heard the 50-60 USD (267 grivnas) monthly rent numbers.
