where to acquire information about UK visa?
Hi,
just new here and i just have a question. How can i obtain UK visa? i need an accurate information about the process. I am an online freelance worker for years and one of my client offered me a real job. I mean he wants me to travel in UK and work for real in their company. This is an opportunity that i do not want to miss. If you are a Filipino and manage to acquire UK visa. Kindly let me know the process that you've taken in order to succeed in the application. Even if you are not a filipino. A help from you would be appreciated by me. I read many post about UK visa and still i need additional information to validate them all. I have a choice right now and i just want a second opinion. looking forward on your response. Thanks in advance. |

British work visa's - Not Easy!
Dejavu,
Work visas are becoming very hard to get now as the British government are under pressure from the resident Brits to reduce migration. The government have said that they will impose stricter limits on work permits for non EU citizens from now on. They will only grant work visas to individuals that have a special capability that is required to serve the well being of the British economy, in professional fields where there is a shortage of indeginous applicants. I cannot imagine that online freelance worker would be included in this category unless the company needs a Philipino speaker (although I would have thought that there were enough of these in Britain already). I would be very sceptical about this offer of employment. Have they asked you to pay any money regarding this job offer? Also, you do not mention your age or gender, as young women need to be careful that they do not find themselves being misrepresented by sophisticated people traffickers, to be brought into the country to find themselves entrapped into the sex trade. If this job application is genuine, the first thing to be done is that the would be employer sends you a formal offer of employment in writing, as you will need to take this to the British Embassy later on to make your visa request. However, I believe this company should approach the immigration authorities in Britain first to request approval to employ you and get some sort of approval reference number that you can quote to the British Embassy, before you will be able to do anything. I'm fairly positive that if you attempt to make a formal work application without the future employer making this preliminary application, you will be waisting your time and money (British visa applications are expensive even though you may be refused). I would interested to learn of your future progress in this matter. 0. Last edited by Gotno Gizmo; 7th January 2011 at 21:19. Reason: Typing error |

I stand by the advice I have already given. I have looked at both of these sites and their "free assessments".
I do not wish to enter into their personal details field, but I am sure if I did so that I would be rapidly steered into a registration form, followed by a payment requirement. Certain of these organisations have been linked to bogus employing companies or education colleges within the UK in the past and were successful in getting people into the UK under false pretences. However, we are being told that since the creation of the UK Border Agency, many of these loopholes have and continue to be closed down. If you have a genuine offer of employment in writing from a UK employer you are partly along the long road, and this company must initiate the impetus. If you do not have such an offer, then you can try these "Visa Agencies" as they will probably have more resources than yourself. But can you afford it, and are you prepared to possibly waste your money? I am attaching to this post a BBC website page with some recent comment on current UK Government measures:- BBC News - Q&A: UK immigration cap Last edited by Gotno Gizmo; 10th January 2011 at 14:35. |
