Ukrainian Citizenship for Children

My Ukrainian wife and I have been married for 5 years now. We have two children who were both born in the U.S. and have U.S. citizenship. We recently moved to Ukraine and I want them to have Ukrainian citizenship also. It is stated in the Ukrainian constitution that my children can still become citizens of Ukraine even though they were born abroad since they have a Ukrainian mother. However, it is granted with "written consent" of both parents. No other details are given. I have written the Ukrainian embassy and consulate and have not received an answer. I am hoping somebody can give me a few more details about what "written consent" this is and where this needs to be done. Any advice such as who to see or where to call would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I think you will find they will have to surrender their US citizenship as Ukraine doesn`t recognise dual nationality...
