spending summer in Ukraine
I am an English student here in Spain but am considering spending my summer teaching English in Ukraine. It would only be a 6 week placement (I have to return to university and furthermore would miss my cats too much; I’d have to take my foto de gatitos with me for sure!). My only worry is that my English may not be good enough to explain complex grammatical issues. I did do a curso de ingles extranjero in the States and have done some turismo social in South America before, mixing with a lot of visitors from the US and Canada so feel like I can communicate well – but perhaps a certificate in teaching would help me be able to break down the more complex aspects to language learning. Also – what age/level would I be best to teach – beginners who only want to know the basics or those who are already very good and will just want conversational class? All advice welcome!

Do you speak Ukrainian or Russian?
ingles es mas diferente para aprendiendo para uno quien sabe la lengua de eslavo. I would say teach the conversational class that grasp english and just want to improve their english, but thats just my opinion It will be a lot harder to teach english to a class if you don't know their native language. Good luck whatever you decide. Last edited by bm-21Lemko; 13th May 2008 at 14:08. |
