moving to kyiv - any help much appreciated!

i've already been through many posts, but loads of them seem really old. basically i have been phoning a girl (olya) from kiev for just under a year now, and finally decided it was time to see her and maybe more. i have sold my 2nd house so i have plenty of money for now. i have quit my job as a senior software engineer/architect and have already had job offers in UK (i am in the UK now...) where i could work from kyiv remotely, but i think i would like to find some work in the city. i also dj (dance/techno/trance) and would like to get back into that again, there seems to be a lot of clubs there! i have been trying to learn russian but haven't done too well yet! olya's english is pretty good so she is going to try to teach me a bit too!

wow... i forgot i posted this thread back in may! anyway... since then i spent two months with olya (june/july) and have now moved in with her here in kyiv. i just hope i manage to get used to the weather when it starts to get colder! she bought me some winter boots yesterday so at least my feet will be ok! i can't remember the last time i saw so much snow on the ground! /pete
