Thankyou so much for your continued research, I really appreciate your efforts. I tried to call the phone number but was unsuccessful. I dialed 0011 380 34 965528. I checked on the internet and it says that the phone number should be 7 digits. Could you please re check this for me. If this still does not work I will definitely ask you for Ihor's contact.
    Regards Olga

I did find a Plenynchuk, residing in Ivano-Frankivsk, the regional capital. It shows up as a singular surname.

Part 3- Do you know paternal Grandfather's name? Did Tato have siblings? There may very well be additional family in the village???

Your other option is to write the Village Mayor's Ofc and ask them to help. In my exp this can take anywhere from 3-6 months to accomplish, especially if the family member has moved to a larger city. I am not dissuading you. I am merely providing info. Depending on the people you contact, they may or not may have a real interest in truly helping. I can easily provide the Village Admin Address. Think about how you might want to proceed and let me know.

Part 2 - There are two people, who I can recommend. One is Andrij, member here, Ivano-Frankivsk resident, who specializes in travel business, focusing on Diaspora Ukrainians looking to reconnect w/their roots. Part of his job is to locate family, before the visit is actually made. The other is Ihor, an educator, also a Ivano-Frankivsk resident, who has family in the police dept. He is very good at finding lost family. Rates would be pretty much the same. A day trip/investigation will cost appx $100USD + petrol. This is a very fair cost. This method will provide fastest turnaround.

I did double check. No Plenchuk/czuk in Cherniyiv !!! Following are your options for finding Paranja. You can hire an Ivano-Frankivsk resident, to visit Tato's village and make personal inquiries re Paranja and possible other surviving paternal family still residing in village or elsewhere. Please see Part 2 and 3 for rest of message.

    Pryvit Ohlu,

The surname is Plenjuk. The JU is pronounced like YU or IU, when transliterating from Ukrainian to English.

I will double check the village for an alternative spelling CHUK/CZUK like in CHURCH, just in case.

Hello Hannia, I am looking for my sister in Ukraine. She has been looking for us since 1971. My father did not tell me that he had a daughter in the Ukraine. Her name is Paranja Plenjuk and her maiden name was Paranja Swistjak. My father said that he came from Cherniyiv near Tlumach - Ivan Frankivsk Oblast. I am desperate to find her and living realtive of hers. Can you help.
