Walter, Andriy Dorosh is fluent in Polish, Ukrainian and English. He is quite familiar w/both the Polish and Ukrainian Archives.I have gotten only the best feedback about him. In the photo, he's the young man on the fair right. Rates are very far and he has a comfortable and sturdy vehicle. Hannia

    Hi Hannia -

You have helped me in the past. My grandmother's family immigrated from near Rohatyn, Ukraine to Rochester, NY in the early 1900s. I am lucky now to have the will, time, and money to visit Poland and Ukraine with the rest of my family. You had mentioned previously that there were researchers available who may be able to find more specialized information "on the ground" than what I have. I was hoping to get in contact with a researcher leading up to our trip, possibly with the idea of meeting them in person while in Lviv or surrounding area. Our trip is planned for June/July this summer - I know it's short notice. I was also hoping to get records from the Rohatyn registry office of more recent births and marriages, post-1880 or so.

Any references would be much appreciated.

The name of church in Harasymiv - Church of the relics of St. Mykolai (Nicholas)= Грекокатолицка Церква Перенесення мощей Св. Миколая built in 1831 - reconstructed in 1909. All indications are that it is Greek Catholic?

A little more background to go with what I posted just half a day ago.
The village is Sacurov, Slovakia. It was known as other names but two are Szacsur, and Zacurow(spelling?). It was in the old Zemplin county, Vranov nad taplou district when it was all in Hungary. From my reading it seems greek catholic parish records were sent to Uzhhorod.
