I love and try to study as much as I can about WWII and know quite a lot about my counties(USA)involvment with it.
Now that I am engaged to be married to a girl from the Ukraine and the fact that her grandmother was taken from the Ukraine as a child to work in the German Labor Camps. I naturally now would like to learn more about the History. I have been reading everything I can but does anyone have any suggestions on movies that I could watch. I know of the movie "Victory" with Syvester Stallone and Pele but are there any others. Thanks, Keith |

Please do tell!
itsastruggle, there are a few titles I'm aware of, but I'm hoping VG lays some more on us.
There is a relatively (2001) new flick called " Undefeated" about the commander of the Ukrainian Partisan Army, aka Ukrainian Insurgent Army. I have a film about Stefan Bandera called " Atentat : Assasination in Autumn". Its in Ukrainian with subtitles. I asked about another UPA film I saw as a teen in another forum, and, as seems customary here, the only reply was from a malcontent. It was a good flick, but I was told back in the 80's that pllitics somehow got ahold of it and no copies were available. To a yank, that seems ludicrous, but....

I’m very interested in seing the “Atentat : Assasination in Autumn”. But I don’t know where to find it, can somebody give me a hint.
I checked Netflix, but they don’t have it in their database. Also my research on the internet ended with only one link and it was this discussion. |
