"The Cove" 2010 Oscar Winner for Documentary Film
Last night I watched the 2010 Oscar Winner for Documentary Film , "The Cove". It is about a little Japanese fishing town, that is the largest international market for dolphinariums. Whatever animals are not sold to the amusement parks, are brutally slaughtered for meat. The average annual slaughter of approximately 2,000+ dolphins is performed with the permission of the Japanese government.
Today I made a modest donation to the marine activists involved in the fight to stop this SENSELESS MURDER. Dolphins and whales are the filter systems of the oceans and are contaminated w/very high mercury levels. THERE IS NO REASON TO KILL THEM AND DECEPTIVELY SELL THEM AS GOOD FISH MEAT.
I urge all my friends to view this film, available on dvd now, and help in some small way to stop these killings.
