Reinventing N.Gogol........

My copy of "Taras Bulba" in Ukrainian came in not too long ago. I've read it. And IT IS WRONG!!!!! It isn't a "translation",it's a totally new version of Gogol by Kyiv.What nationalistic retard had approved it?

The "new translation" is not a translation,per ce,but,rather,a "ukranised" version of "Taras Bulba".Every mention of Russia,Rus' is erased.The "new and improved" version IS NOT what N.Gogol wrote.

You should see the newest Russian movie version of ‘Taras Bulba’ – it is for sure anti-Polish, anti-Ukrainian, anti-Gogol pro- Kremlin fake. As for different translations , Gogol himself must have changed his original text, as Kathy has explained. He was afraid of Tsar , Siberia , etc He was complicated as every genius.
. I read Ukrainian translations glorifying Russian Orthodox tsar no problem with it.

I haven't seen it yet,but I've heard about it being pro-kremlin propaganda film.And again,that was not what N.Gogol intended it to be,I don't think.
