The Pied Piper of Hutzovina
I saw this documentary a few months back on TV.
I found it because I did a search for 'Ukraine' and this was the only listing. Yesterday- I was really surprised to see this movie was on the 'new release' wall at the video store. Movie plot: 'A filmmaker follows the Gypsy Punster of New York's notorious Gogol Bordello, Eugene Hutz, on his trip back to native Ukraine.' While watching the movie, Eugene Hutz looked very familiar. He played Alex in 'Everything is Illuminated'. Has anybody else seen this movie? Did you like his style of music- or not? (Folkloric Roma music mixed w/ modern music) ...I have no idea why the thread title above is spelled like that? ![]()
