I don't remember the name of the movie. Vera Farmiga played there a role of a doctor in some Soviet prison for German soldiers guarded by women. John Malkovich was in the movie too. It is a great movie and Vera was as always showed the top performance.

Yes, it was "In transit". Beside the beautiful performance by Farmiga, I really enjoyed the storyline that no matter what was it like during the war at the end we come back being human again with our needs of love and being loved. Plus, how can't you love Thomas Kretschmann and all the movies he plays in, Irene?

I enjoy Vera's work very much. She is a serious artist and most of her repertoire consists of independent movies, which I appreciate much more than any of the blockbusters. My personal favorite is "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas". Vera plays the apprehensive Mother. It is a heart breaker and you walk away from this movie contemplating the concept of guilt and blame.
