Dobrey Den Wasyl and Stas!!
Pryvit z Anhliee!!!
First Wasyl I noticed that you finally pselt your grandfather as "DIDO" not as GIDO.
I am surprised you say you knoe more about Ukraine, when you are born in Canada, because if you was a true Ukrainian man you would not cures a fellow Ukrainian, and as we know Stas was born in Ukraine.
NOW to all of you out there listen up the correct way to say "TO BURY" in Ukrainian is:
"POKHOVATI" yes "POKHOVATI, not pohovayte and not pohvayte.
So i sure every one has learnt something today. and lets BURY or POKHOVATI, this subject and move on to another posting.
DO POBACHENYA!!!!!!!!!!!

Follow this link for a poem on line and in Ukrainian. I think you'll find Stas is right. http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homep...ns/zapovit.htm
HTH.
Vlas.

P.S. Besides transliteration is often a subjective thing and can vary greatly between publications and translation styles.

Finally Stas is from Ukraine, speaks modern Ukrainian, NOT Diaspora Ukrainian, which is well out of date. So I suggest listening to him rather than some one from the UK and especially someone from another dimension... (Wasyl the Slayer)

Take Care
Vlas

Thanks Steve for your support. I hope he'll realize that too.

Wasyl, we all have something to learn, it's never too late.
