My friend was in Ukraine recently, where she saw a bumper sticker on a car that read (in Ukrainian) "Goes through mud!"

She described to me that this was a joke about military tanks.

Does anyone know what this phrase is?

I would like to copy it and make her a bumper sticker.

Thanks!

I just telephoned my friend to ask for more information. She said the bumper sticker said something more like: "Mud doesn't stop a tank!"

She tried to tell me in Ukrainian, tamka grazy... I'm still learning!

If you've heard "gryaza", it is not Ukrainian but Russian.

It must be "Tanki gryazi ne boyatsya!", in Cyrillic - "Танки грязи не боятся!"

Thanks for you help. I had this phrase superimposed on a Ukraine flag using MS-Paint, and had a customized coffee mug made for my friend as a Christmas present.

Now, I'd like to put a similar phrase on my swimming cap: "Dogs are not afraid of water!"

Please help with my grammar:

Sobaki gryazi ne voda!

Is this correct in cyrillic letters?

собаки грязи не вода!
