Can you translate this?

For a few years, I've been teaching myself Ukrainian, and I'm doing reasonably well. But I'm having trouble with finding the correct translation for the word "look," as used in the following sentences: "You look good," "You look tired," "You look terrible." Look, as relates to one's appearance. I've tried everything I could think of, from appear, present, etc.. Can someone please help me with the correct word in Ukrainian?

Also, while I have you here, there's one other word-phrase that I'm having trouble with: to throw out, as in "to throw out the garbage." I see cast, toss, I've looked up discard, but I can't seem to find the simple translation for "to throw out," as in discard.

of course you need to get the tense and gender right when you combine it with other words.
