I do not know the language, however I am looking to get a tattoo of the national motto in Ukrainian (alongside hawk reaching it's talons in front of a shield-shaped Ukraine flag. For idea, the 'Berkut' police badge but without police insignia). I was told the motto it is on the Great Coat of Arms project, and even with what I have found online, I am barely able to read the tiny print. I have made it out to be this:

ÂÎËß, ÇËÀÃÎÄÀ, ÄÎÁÐÎ

..but when I run it through online RU and UA translation, I am able to get 'WILL' and 'KINDNESS' for the 1st and third, however I get a failure message trying to translate the 2nd. Is this correct spelled, or possibly it's an uncommon word used?

Thanks for any help. I'll 'bookmark' this page and check up on it later.

Either way, I am likely going to travel to Moscow next year (first time to Europe!) and perhaps I should try plans to visit Kiev also?

Thanks.

BLap, unfortunately I cannot read ÂÎËß, ÇËÀÃÎÄÀ, ÄÎÁÐÎ,
If you'd write it in latin letters, then I may be able to help you.

My husband and I went to Kiev, Moscow and Petersburg last May. I am from Kiev, but for my husband was there for the first time. To make it short, he felt in love with the city and wants to move there! It's definitely worth going. Kiev is 1500 years of history and culture. It is a very beautiful, truly european city. People are great!

On the other hand, going to Russia was a lot of trouble.
Yes, there is so much to see, but people are not so friendly and pretty greedy! We found it disquisting that they have two prices in every musium, theater: one for russians and another for foreigners, about 7 times more expensive. You also have to register your visa in some kind of office, expect the worst

It would be a good idea for you to have some russian/ukrainian friends, if you go.
