I do believe that this sentence is little bit misspelled; some words could be difficult to understand. But I don’t see anyone helping so I’ll tray to translate as much as I could.
czo to za – "what kind of" wiocha – I’m not sure, but it may be the “eyes” ja k mozna – “how is possible” taka piosenka – „this song” tak zeszpacic – “so spoiled” or “become nothing” KASZANA – “spoken” or “explained” wy dziady – „you” (plura) „poor people” or „bums” Not much sense, but hop it would help. |

Candle light
Quote:
Hello Candle, I see that you, like a real Lvivian, speak or understand two languages: Ukrainian and Polish. I found something for you: I am a candle," said Reason. Love replied: "Brother! I am the sun - so your time comes only when I set." Henryk Sienkiewicz (1846-1916). I wonder whether you like it. Please, find my contemporary translation in the Open Board. Modern Polish is changing a bit and this sentence was a primitive slang. http://www.ukraine.com/forums/showth...?threadid=6118 |

Hi everyone, my name is Pawel, and actually I am beginner on this forum.AS to this fragment -it is true, it is a little bit missplelled. Original should sounds like" Co to za wiocha? Jak mozna taka piosenke zeszpecic? Kaszana! Wy dziady!"
Somebody who wrote this down doesn't give me proud of being Polish , but ok this translation means nothing more than somebody's complaining about any music which is not the best. Co to za wiocha= translating means nothing else than "what a village" -we use this description if you see any place that is out of the world, in the middle of nowhere, total nonsense, place you should go out of there. Altough, in this case this words are related also to "making villave"=robienie wiochy, which means to making something shameful, untypical that others will lauth at you. "Jak mozna "= how could you taka piosenke= this song zeszpecic=screw up, make it bad, grind down, to turn something nice into bad Kaszana= comes form kaszanka=kind of long traditional dish-it is blood sausage, known laso as a blood pudding-actually there is now words I would describe it well, but it taste very well . It is very cheap to make it that's why he/she compared it to it as a one of low taste, cheap, made without efford, just ****. As to "wy dziady" = it means kinda "you *******s, idiots, people with low profession etc. "- shortly it is used as a swearword. |
