I use Canadian software from Lingvista 98. The CD course on Ukrainian is excellent for beginners. It is quite unlike an other language course I have seen. It many ways it puts Rosetta Stone courses to shame.
They also have translation, spell checker, dictionary and phasebook all in Ukrainian. You can get all their products in one package at http://www.Ling98.com There are several other sites selling the product. Another site is http://www.allvirtualware.com/ukrsoft/lessons.htm I was impressed by the translation software. A friend in Lviv told me that the translation was more correct Ukrainian than what is used in Lviv. A lot of street Ukrainian is peppered with Russian even in Western Ukraine. The Ukrainian course Dads Lessons is about to be upgraded in the fall and I am looking forward to seeing their new version. Apparently if you have the old version you get a free upgrade. Roger |
