translation of tragoi or tragoy

Hello, I am looking for anyone who might know the translation of the word tragoi(sp?). It is Romanian, maybe or at the least from the Carpathean region. I heard someone using it in the context about Vlad Dracula and the Dracula legend. I would like to use it in a fictional story I am writing but want to be accurate on its use. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
