Hi folks,
I live in a mixed Ukrainian and Polish town. A lot of the new wave Polish immigrants have the name "Agnieszka" (English equiv: Agnes). I was wondering if any of you were familiar with the Ukrainian equivalent. Also, why do you suppose it is much more popular with the Poles than with us?

maybe "agna" would be in ukrainian, although i don't think i've ever heard it
