Dear Ukrainian/Canadian girl,

Hello.

In Britain we would call a pig like "Stormfront" a Yobbo, or *** for short.

I understand the word "***" in Ukrainian is just as accurate
in describing him.

Please just ignore him.

S.B.

. hi girl! dont worry,be happy, good you want to know more about language of your parents. you can always say canadian of ukrainian origin, many people dont like other people being proud of their origin. be proud but get all you can about ukraina-this is the original name of it. forget not there are ukrainians-russians and muscovite or moskali, ask me what you want, petersiry@gmx.de

I'm an Ukranadian too

Hello

Hopefully I can help clear up something here... you see, Canadian citizens are encouraged to retain their cultural identity, rather than assimilate as our neighbours in the south are better known to do (which is alright too). So therefore Canadians that are of Ukrainian descent often refer to themselves as Ukrainian Canadians.

But more importantly, the Verhovna Rada (ukrainian parliament) released an official tranliteration guide for the Ukrainian alphabet a few years back. So you can have words such as Dobriden (good day) or d'yakuyu (thanks) without having the cyrillic alphabet.

If you get a chance to learn the Cyrillic alphabet, try it! It is worth it. It seems intimidating at first, but is actually quite easy. Every letter has only one pronunciation, rather than enlish which often has two or more.

It's worth it. :-D

if you can't translate it yourself, maybe some of your ukrainian friends can do it. I know Irinka lives in Canada, so she might help you. I also think you can get someone over the net to translate it for you if its not some kind of legal document.
