Poem translation help.

I think I understand this poem from my uncle, but a few words escape me, (esp the ones in red).
Anyone care to give their interpretation? Scan of handwriting is below.

This poem does not make much sense to be translated
Eg the second coma in the second line - deprives the sentence of any sense.
"Вигра╓ (not виграте) дзв╕нками" referring to optimism - means 'vibrant optimiism' - like a jingling bell
Щаслився - be happy ( this word was created by the author)
Всм╕хн╕сь - smile

Poem translation

Hi Wolodymyr,
This is a very beautiful poem from your uncle. Here is my interpretation:

I glorify the youth of yours
It is the meadows’ blossom
I love the smile full of warmth
That lulled you from the bosom

Courageous steps bestowed by you
I drink the strength from mind
I fell in love with optimistic you
That beats the bells like thunders

Be happy, gay and full of joy
Good spirit through the years
The smiling heart that welcomes all
We glad to have you with us

And just like that to reach sunset
In passing life in smile
The work in science cherish thee
And love of hearth’s warm fire

Всм╕хнись – smile (up), but in the context it leans more towards “welcome, accept, endorse smth.”;
Щаслився – be happy with yourself, with what you are doing, with who you are;
Виграт╓ – most likely comes from “грясти” or “гряде” – old Ukrainian “advances (with force)”, “powerful approach with significant changes to be expected”.

Bravo Nazar
You must have a very vivid imagination to have managed to translate this poem

Виграт╓ – most likely comes from “грясти” or “гряде” – old Ukrainian “advances (with force)”, “powerful approach with significant changes to be expected" ????

Thank you, Irene
Виграт╓ – most likely comes from “грясти” or “гряде” - it is just my speculation, Irene. I tried to explain the way I feel the word. For example: "pеволюц╕я гряде" or "грядуть велик╕ зм╕ни". It is as if something powerful is coming and is likely to change things around. I don't have a good dictionary, but probable etymology would be "град". By saying that it is old I meant that one would rarely hear the Ukrainians using it, unless in some literary work.
What do you think, Irene?

I would think of грати - not грясти, and of vibrating and resounding optimism
