need help learning the language

I am in upstate New York and there are no places near by that can help me. I want to learn to speak and write in Ukrainian but dont know where to start. Can anyone tell me of some good websites/programs that are either free or very cheap that can help me?

Hi,

You may find someone for a language exchange. Try this site.

Global language exchange (messenger, e-mail, voice) >>

Also you can find a private class or a one-to-one language exchange in New York here >>

Good luck

Hi Stinger,
Try searching online for 'Byki' language course, there is a Ukrainian download/cd you can buy. There is also a free download to demonstrate how their system works.
I bought the download, which I thought was very cost effective, and am now learning Ukrainian on my pc. I really like Byki and would recommend it.
Good Luck Buddy !!

Thanks Hutzul. I found Byki", downloaded the freebie and am getting started. A bit harder for a senior, but on my "bucket list" (things to do before you die) is to learn as much Ukranian as I can.
