I grerw up in the US with such role models as superman "freedom and justice for all!" while I attened my white school and the black kids attened theirs. I'm from Virginia. My father always made apoint of showing me injustice where ever he saw it. We visited family in NY City, and as a girl of nine I remember him showing me the lunch counter at Woolworth's and pointing out how white and black were sitting and how this was the way it should be. I remember how we went home to Norfolk and seeing the police aresting black people for sitting at the white lunch counter. I was taught from an early age to have strong opinions. Now the world is a diferent place, yet it's still the same. People hating other people for their religion or ethnic idenity. Please learn history,real history, not someone's version of it. I have read Marx, and I have St Augustine,too. Marx had some good ideas,but I'm sure he's spinning in his grave knowing what people are doing in his name. Even if you're not a Christian Read the first four books of the New Testament. They crucified Jesus for being a political rebel, the Romans could care less about offending Jewish leaders. Jesus said to love your enemies,bless those that curse you. He also said that the kingdom of God is in your hearts. Think what a world we would have if everyone lived like the kingdom of God was in their hearts?

It's been awhile,but I just had to answer this one. Supperman committed suicide. Red, white, and blue are the colors of England, Russia, and a number of other countries. As far as Im concerned superman stood for hipocrisy. At that time in the fifties, the only people who got freedom and justice for all was the imagination of us kids growing up in a lilly white U.S. Now times have changed, we at least tried to give all races and religions equality. Russia certainly can't say anything, not after the nightmarish Soviet Union. I'm an Orthodox Christian, in my entire life I have never had any problem with"American style religion". If you don't want to listen to the American evangelists, turn them off. I can honestly say that except for the Jahova's Witness' that came to my door the other day, I haven't been aproached by any religious group in the last wo years. Before that my youngest son tried to get me to attend his Baptist Church,I don't know if that counts or not. Things arn't perfect here but we have something; why else woul we be having such a problem keeping illegals out. Everyone wants to come to America.
