For your information, Ohio's death penalty was passed by a democratic legislature during the term of a democratic governor.

As to my feelings, the death penalty should be used only when there is a confession or an irrefutalble eyewitness. I do not believe it should be used when a conviction is made only by circumstantial evidence.

Statistics don't matter a bit. Any true Leftist will rarely whine about a dictatorship, or some form of a communist government when they can use the US as a target. China can murder a million people for what those people think, while the US might kill 100 capital criminals for murdering their fellow citizens, but the Leftist will most always condemn the US, and offer China a free pass. No offense to China here, as the casual Leftist thinks of Cuba as a political and economic utopia as well. Too bad most Leftists enjoy life in the US, or in one of the socialist Euro nations. It would be so much more interesting if they really lived their lives in the countries they spend so much time supporting with their well fed thoughts and words.

Just as many democrats are for the death penalty as are republicans. Suppose your mother was raped and killed by someone and there was irrefutable proof that the person had done it. You want to hug him and forgive him? Not me, I would personally put a bullet through his brain. Quit blaming republicans for your woes in life. You are probably one of those liberal jerks who never take responsibility for your own actions.

Thanks Kathy. I know that many democrats lean farther to the right than their more liberal colleagues. I believe that Joe Lieberman should have been the nomineee in 2004. A decent man with moderate views on many subjects.
