"Occupy" - Not just about the USA

Ak Mike,
You also have taken this topic to a purely USA viewpoint, and have I have said previously this is not just American issue. If you recall I started this thread by commenting on a group of Russians being stopped from having an "Occupy" style demo in Moscow.

I know you are very keen that posts must be confined to appropriate threads and group headings, so I intend to put my further reply to you into my previous thread "Smart Money Rule of Governments" where it belongs.

Based on my readings (and much of from between the lines set forth by the liberal media) most of the occupy protesters are gripeing about not being given enough by the gov'ts. There's too much give aways by all governments to the undeserving masses.
Just look at the plight of much of Europe now. Free immigration from norther Africa and the rapes murders and theiveing htta has been happening. If they actually had to work for a living they'd find out that life 'back home' wasn't all that bad. But now.... why work? just hold you hand out and scream loudly if the handouts aren't enough.
Ukraine has just doubled the pensions of the Cherynobl workers that put themselves in harms way to attempt to curtail that disaster. That is one of the few times that it's deserved.

Ukraine Pensions?

Ukraine has just doubled the pensions of the Cherynobl workers that put themselves in harms way to attempt to curtail that disaster. That is one of the few times that it's deserved.

I am perplexed by your statement above
Are you saying that those Ukrainian pensioners who are not involved the Cherynobl incident are not deserving of a higher pension?

Kindly clarify.

That depends on how much they risked their live for the country.
Keeping up with the inflation is one thing and doubleing it is another!

Ukraine and the rest of the FSU countries have a hard task to make payments to pensioners that didn't contribute to that countries pensions. They worked ror the CCCP, now defunt. But they're covering these folks anyway.

those pensioners had no choice as to their "new" nationality.... so do you not think the relevant countries have a responsibility for all their citizens?? not just those born there?? using that premise very few citizens of ex Soviet countries would have a pension...

I apologise folks for continuing to go off topic.
The interesting reply above seems factual, but it supposes that the CCP was allocating funds aside in order to pay its pensioners of the future. I am sure that was not the case akin to todays capitalist countries. No government puts aside a significant part of the revenue it takes from its citizens to cover this know future burden. Governments spend all of their remittances to meet immediate needs. They hope to get their current tax paying citizens to pay for those arriving at pensionable age. There is no guarantee of my continued British pension. I am told by the media, that the UK is currently borrowing about £9000 GBP for every British man, woman and child. This is more money than I receive every year for my state pension.

For most Ukrainian pensioners life is little more than an existence. They have my sincere sympathy. I enjoy an enhanced lifestyle because I spend much of my time in Ukraine where my modest income stretches further. I also have a previous employers own pension scheme to which I contributed, but its ability to continue payments in future years is now in doubt. Soviet communism, or western capitalism, no difference, the small man gets screwed!

"Occupy" -All around the World, Except Russia!

The international financial crisis that began in Wall Street in 2008 through its reckless and crooked culture has now iniated a ricochet throughout the world. Just to illustrate this matter I refer you to the attached global map of "Occupy" dem sites. I regret that Russians are unable to demonstrate over this issue and that Ukrainian's apathy or belief that this is not their problem.
