Question

Hello,

Please, give me some links (in English or Polish) where I can find some information about Russian policy towards Ukraine over years 1700-2005 if you can. I am writing a composition (a work) on this topic on my studies. I have to give it by the end of February. Of course, I have gathered some info on this matter already, nevertheless I would like to have more sources in footnotes and bibliography. I have tried to find something in google, but I haven't found much. I will be grateful for any help.

Regards,

Premagape, I can recommend you one monumental book of Andrew Wilson "The Ukrainians, unexpected nation". I've got the Polish version entitled "Ukraincy". In the Vth chapter "Ukraina, Rosja i Rossiya" you can find information you need. For further study, you can see Liah Greenfeld "Five roads to Modernity", Harvard University Press, Cambridge, Mass. 1992 pp.238-239 and 245
[O roli Ukrainy w procesie budowy osiemnastowiecznej tozsamosci rosyjskiej].

Regards
Zbigniew

In fact, the above is a recommendation of my son who continues his Ukrainian studies at the Univ. of Warsaw.
