Can anyone tell me alittle about the history of Poland.

Polonians become Christians in 9th or 10th cent. and form a state. Agressive Germans on the west always are pushing Poles further eastward. Poles develop very close relations with Lithuania, unite with them in the 16th cent. and become the largest state in Europe. In 17th cent. she fights bad wars and loses large parts of Ukraine and modern day W. Russia and Belarus. In 18th cent. Prussia, Austria and Russia devide Poland between themselves- bad times till WW1. Russian empire collapses, Poland is free and succesfully fights the Soviets. 1939- WW2 and German occupation. In the soviet block after 1945. Becomes truly independent in the late 80s when communism retreats from C. Europe.
