I can quote from Kievan Russian Chronicles and you'll see that Vladimir and Yaroslav were Russian princes. Spare yourself the embarrassment.

Ok, other than some of the goofy posts here, this topic is fairly interesting.

I don't think there is one figure who is "the" most important, but my vote goes to Ukrainian intellectuals, who developed a Ukrainian language, and national consciousness.
