EDIT: Also I have ask, arnt Cossacks a separate group from Ukrainians who just happened to settle on lands now part of modern Ukraine, because you get Russian Cossacks too that implies they are a separate transnational group.
Yes they're a separate group but they gave birth to political consciousness in Ukraine, counting them as Ukrainian heroes is a bit of a stretch but since there is a very solid connection between Cossack uprisings and birth of Ukraine i guess you could fit them into "Ukraine's heroes".

All this nationalistic yapping from both Kiyuv and mAAskva makes me sick.Only a weak-minded "person" would separate my Rodina from my Bat'kivschina.
