Steve, hun, you have way too much time on your hands
But umn, speaking of the most importand event... that would be the collapse of the USSR. The consequencies were just scary, we all know about that. It effected the lives of millions of people. The artificial administrative-command economy ceased to exist. Ukraine gained its independence and now we have no a slightest idea what we are going to do with this independence. All Tatars came back to the Crimea. Russian economy is going down the drain. And so is Ukrainian economy. The two-pole world died giving birth to a new one pole world with the USA as the only super power. Lots of interesting stuff happened ! |

Well like a world history, or Ukrainian history? Since it's Ukrainian forums, I'll write about Ukrainian history.
I think that most important event that took place in Ukrainian history, is when Ukrainian king(although it wasn't called king) had "created" too many children which then led to many, many things. 1.Collapse of Kyivan Rus(wars between children) 2.Mongol succession over collapsed Kyivan Rus 3.Emigration from Ukraine, that led to creation of Belarus and Russia. And by creating Russia, there are more then other 50 events to write about

The most important event in history would have to be related to the most important person. If the most important person was Jesus, then his birth would be most important event. If Newton, then Newton`s birth, etc...If your Bill, it would be the migration of the magyars into Europe. HEHE.
